when i trade for the x valve do i have to trade in the bolt or just the vavle

it is the whole valve assembly, which includes the bolt. besides, if it is not a lvl 10 bolt, then it wont work with the xvalve, so you wont need it anywya.

oh really? i always thought that you had to turn in the WHOLE assembly, including the bolt.

You can keep your bolt and your on/off if it's out of an Emag(the on/off that is).
