AO: We are back from the dead... again! After an 18 day outage, we are finally alive and well. Who knew how complicated updating software/databases from 2008 would be. I still have alot of tweaks to make, but my main goal was getting everything patched and updated to 2026.
Vbulletin 6 has changed alot since 2008 so we will have a ton of new features to dig into.
In two weeks I will be getting my pewter Xmag. It's a brand new c&c #385 still in the box. If all the rumors are true and AGD will not make anymore what would it be worth?
I think it's priceless!

Damn it! At my local shop the X-Mag is cheaper than a timmy, and I doubt It will be available much longer (they don't have anything in stock, they order when you tell them to). Hmmm, I suspect they get it from AGDE, and there was some talk about them continuing to sell the X-Mag. Well, I still don't have the money

Guys, these are just markers, not some superduper collector's item. Not to rain on your parade or anything.
For something to be valuable later down the road it has to be:
1) rare
2) highly demandable
1) The x-mag will not be THAT rare. There are several hundreds floating around (if not thousands) and there are at least a couple for sale used at any given time. I wouldn't consider it that rare.
2) The x-mags will not be THAT demandable down the road. For one, there will be newer markers out on the market to buy that will be just as good as the x-mag (for all practicality sake), and the x-mag by then will be a dead product for sure and I wonder if AGD will even support it then. Since there is such a small number of them (not THAT small, see point 1) it might not make business sense to keep supporting it.
At any rate, I'll just use my x-mag as much as I can and when the time comes to retire it, I'll sell it for as much as I can.
I advise you do the same.
