Anybody ever owned or played paintball with a VM-68. I've had mine for years and It's definitaly the heaviest gun I have ever used. Does anybody know of a heavier Paintball gun?

yeah I miss mine also... it was like a sawed off shotgun with a baseball bat as a pump handle

Yeah, the VM-68 is a beast, especially with a dual tank setup (typically with a 4.5oz front as an expansion chamber and a 20oz back). I had mine for 4 years (92-95) and it never let me down.

If anything is comparable in weight, I would think the Brass Eagle Nightmare 12" Comp w/ back bottle adapter is up there.

I loved my VM and it was and after Carter customized it was a extra pound or two more then stock

Mines named the beast and for good reason. I don't think I've ever played with a heavier marker. Of course it's never broken on me, and I never fear loaning it out to people.

Yeah Crighton I loan mine out to people all the time and it still works great. One time I got it back and it had about a pound of sand in the bolt area. Dont know what the Hell he did to it. It took an hour to clean the thing out, but it still shoots fine now. Neadless to say he will never be aloud to go near it again. I shot him with it 2 days later too, and we werent playing paintball.

I still have a vm that i keep for back up out of the 36 guns I own I still love my equlizer and vm 68 the best they always work! and its funny people who think its a spyder call it crap! and as the equlizer didnt take off for some reason but tis almost a mag in the way it works and shoot.

Oh god no. Oh, god, no. My local field rents out (basically stock) VM-68s, and has been for most of the time I have been alive. I don't think I ever actually had to use one, to be honest. God knows they probably own the largest concentration of those damned things in the free world. I think I even saw some newish-looking ones a couple weeks ago. Heavy, noisy, bulky, unsafe, inaccurate, and idiotic. How anyone can like that gun is beyond me...

Well back when I first got my VM it was the pimp daddy of all markers. Then time rolled on, people stopped playing pump. The F-1 came out ect ect. You have to realize exactly HOW old the design is.

EXC-68 was one of the first guns I ever used... I swear, that thing weighed 15 pounds with a 20oz tank on it. I loved that gun!

Wes jansen you are right about it being dangerous. When the bolt sticks look out. Mine took a chunk out of my hand one time trying to free up the bolt. Also I was adjusting the velocity one time and it shot my allen wrench out.
