Cut cocker threads into twist-lock barrel?

I just went to a ULE body on my e-mag ,but this leaves me with a problem, I want to be able to use my boomy still. I am trying to decide if I should try to sell it and buy a cocker threaded boomy, or just chuck it up in the lathe and single point some new threads. I remember that when the X-mags were very first coming out that Manike did this with a barrel or two, but I was unable to locate that thread using the search function. I am fairly confident in my machining abilites and have single pointed threads on several occasions in many different materials - including stainless steel.

So, opinions please - to cut, or not to cut? That is the question.
