Any opinions on the new V-Force Profiler

I got mine used for 60 this weekend, played a tourney with it, reffed some, and photographed in it as well...
I must say this mask rocks, its almost like not wearing a mask at all, the ventilation is REALLY nice, gotta love it...
I managed to get bunkerd while fiddleing with the ole halo halo one game and took 2 in the soft jaw portion, one bounced from about a foot away(ok got redirected without breaking), and the other hit it on the very edge, takeing A LOT of the force away, that one broke but I didnt even feel the impact, and no nasty welt... I like that
FOV is great, optical clarity on the mirror lense that I got in mine was ausome, fit great, havnt messed with the lenses yet...but sounds like a winner(messing with JT lenses ticks me off, first time it took me an hour getting them out of my old flex 7, and the minor mameing of a few fingers in the process)
they just look great too...
the profiler part, rings true as well, I could come out more and with my head sticking out, managed to take 5 bounces, 3 to the head(thank god for skull cap and long hair) and a couple to the nice soft neoprean face/cheekbones...
lenses seem to clean alot easier then JT lenses as well, I was taking photographs, someone slid infront of me,I quickly protected the camera and took one right in the gogs, I was able to whipe it mostly clean with my hand, I would have been dealing with that for a few mins to get it all off with my flex...
all and all, deffently worth the money, I reccomend it...and the price seems to be dropping anyway...
I am intrested to hear Clare's take on it, as well as the girls from Empress, jumping right into a major tourney with them and all...-Jim "CodeMA" Brown

Simply put it is the best mask I have ever owned, as for where to get it I don't know(I got mine from V-force) I would say check your local proshop, but from what I have been reading latly most proshops seem to want to rip people off pretty bad(Some of the better ones, like mine, will match internet prices so you might check)Comment

We all didn't receive ours until we arrived in Pomona for the LA psp. I didn't get to try mine out until I actually stepped out onto the field with it. It took some getting used to (since I've been using a dye invision and JT flex 7 for a long time) but once I did, it was great. The lenses are easy to switch out, as well. You feel well protected since it's so snug on your face.I am intrested to hear Clare's take on it, as well as the girls from Empress, jumping right into a major tourney with them and all...Comment

well...once you figure out how to switch the lenses out then it's easy.
The profiler is great but it doesn't really offer that much neck protection. Which i don't mind that much but...sometimes you wish it did. (got hit in the neck 3 times on sunday)
I took a ball straight to the face and it bounced right off...i was very amazed but i wasn't sure if the ball was frozen or if the velocity was too lowComment

ya I managed to take a few to the ear like that Snyper... they tell Me left side clear I start bumping left, head tilted right and all that good stuff, then get railed in the left side, two in the ear from them comeing under the short jaw line, it was numb for a couple hours...sucked... but could have been worse I guess
oh and Clare I figured and posted as much, Im a wee bit psyco like that
Im kinda likeing my profiler more so then my flex, and a lot more then a morph I used for a day to try...deffently a lot diffrent-Jim "CodeMA" Brown

I couldn't tell from the pics but are the Profilers shorter than the Morph's (I mean shorter on the sides, not the front).Comment

Glasses wearers be warned, A JT fan doesnt fit. I havent tried the proto or DYE fans. I havent seen the profiler fog, but glasses underneath sure will.

I have owned nothing but Spectras and flexes for my paintball career, barring the stint I had with vents ant the old JT whippersnapper/Elite series.. another story...
Anyway, from everything I had heard about them I had to give them a try. I borrowed a friend's and I must say, they are excellent. Very light and almost form fitting to any face. The lenses are every bit as easy to change as people can attest too.(I personally never have an issue with changing my spectras/flex 7, but these are easier to change) If I had to buy a new mask right now, the Profiler would be that mask. Alas, my masks are pretty new and the don't make the Profiler in Purple

like i said BEFORE in this post but it got deleted by some foo. I tried it on at PSP LA Open and the field of view was awesome. Better than JT Spectras.Comment
