Whats the best timmy for the money?

2k2, IMO. All the others (besides the new 04's and maybe the ST's) are just half a grand more for a milling job. -
the gz timmy can be found for really cheep, and most of em have was now, so see if you can find a used gz. they look pretty nice, and were good to boot

If it doesn't have WAS I would suggest aganist getting it. I believe the Z may come with WAS but i am not sure. If the z comes stock with WAS, I would get that

Don't even bother with the WAS board. Bob Long's new board for the 04 series (Dogs, Empire, Alias) is much nicer. This comes from Manike- and he would know. Builds the damned things.

No, they dont currently sell the boards separately. The new Entropy and Frenzy boards rip though. The entropy is less than the cost of a WAS board...but very hard to find. check PBN in the intimidator section. But, for the money, a Z timmy is the best.Comment

yes WAS shoots a little faster but not enough to make a HUGE diffrence between getting a timmy and not getting one, the SOB board is just fine, 2k2 is what i would recomend thats what im getting in a week or soIf it doesn't have WAS I would suggest aganist getting it. My friend has a sob board and when he shot it and i shot it it wasn't very fast at all. I don't remember what the cap is on the board (13????), but the timmy doesnt hold its true goodness without was IMO.Originally posted by chunk_daddy

Everyone's forgetting about the Classics. I bought mine for under $600 but then again it is far from stock. GZ frame, 2K2 delrin bolt, WAS 1.3, WAS eyes etc...It came in this girlie purple/blue fade but shoots awesome.
And don't forget that there was not that much different internally between the Classic and the 2K2 which are also the starting point for the Z/GZ, Lasoyas, Storm...
I played with it and an Angel Speed back to back this weekend. The Classic had less kick/recoil and I felt was more accurate. The owner of the Speed said something similar.

if you want a timmy that looks good and shoots good, go with a 2k2.
gz and z's are ugly in my opinion
as for the frenzy board, you can pick them up from 888.paintball.com
caution, there are several versions, one for guns with LCD, and one for guns without LCD, and for the newer 2k4, and empires etc...Comment
