Oil??

Well I was just getting all my gear together and I found my bottle of oil was open and it was empty. Now the only place that sells autolube in my area doesnt open till May. I personally like using the same oil that comes with what ever marker I use. I would just order some, but I need some to oil my mag now for tomorrow. So I'm just gonna have to get some from work and all the sell is PMI oil. Does anyone else here use pmi in there mag? Or does anyone know if it will be fine to use?

Paintball oil is paintball oil.

Although KC is the good stuff, anything else will work as well as any other.

Somehow I'd be more concerned about where the heck all that oil went in the first place. You may have a good clue if you find it extremely difficult to hold the gun steady when firing, and the paintballs do barrel rolls into their targets.

when i'm out on the field and don't have the oil that agd sent me i use just very light machine oil, and it seems to work fine. anyone know if that can hurt the gun?

I use Team Associated shock oil that I use to fill up my rc cars shocks . Its 100% silicon oil, works great, doesn't eat o-rings. I think its dow 30, so its viscous enough to stay on the parts you lube up.

Seeing valves that have been oiled by Gold Cup for the last 5-10 years makes me want to strip them clean and soak them in rubbing alcohol. The o-rings are yellowed, brittle and all dried out.

High-Five to that. That's the same stuff I use, but I use the 10wt. oil. I'd prefer to go lighter than heavier so it blows through easier and doesn't have any effects on slowing anything down.

Pneumatic Tool Lubricant, which can be bought at an autoparts store. I think the 8oz bottle I bought was like $2. You can use that or like someone else stated Light Machine Oil(for sewing machines and what not).

I would imagine that might be due to the fact they were 5-10 years old, and had never been replaced ;P

Or not...

I have 4 years on my E-Mag and all it's seen is KC Trouble Free and the o-rings look brand new.

i hate oil... basically i use dow 33 on just about everything - my mags LOVE IT to death

and even after a year, i can take out the o-rings, wipe em off, and they look like new!

I have been using Hoppes 9 gun oil for awhile and it seems to do the trick!

I suggest you stop. It's bad for orings.

I use the PMI stuff and it seems to be ok for the orings. Whoever I bought my mag from must have used WD-40 or some thing because almost all of the non-teflon orings were a dark reddish orange and rock solid. I don't think they had ever been replaced, since he bought it in 94.
