    Whispering Death expansion chamber

I just found an Air America Whispering Death expansion chamber in the bottom of my gearbag... I got to looking at the thing, and I've never seen any airlines that look like they would screw into it...

On the side there is a hole thats about 1/2 - 3/4 the size of the normal Air fittings thread, but the wierd part is that RIGHT next to it there is a really small hole drilled into it as well... So what the heck is going on?

Well here is the picture... Like I said, I know just about diddley crap about these, so...

I got this in a trade a year ago when I got a semi-old Automag (from ntn4502)... The mag isn't from '91 or anything, but its Pre-star with a threaded, not welded power tube...

So can you guys give me any more information about these?

    Thanks!
Hey Zero, how much did that Chipley cost ya?

its an x chamber? Whats the big deal? Somtimes I think AO and POG are like the traveling antique show. You get a few guys that run into a thread and say some old stuff is worth 1k and the owner runs to the classifieds only to find that his item is worth alot less...

The holes are for the hardline that use to come with it. One is the screw hole, the other is for the air passage, which had an oring around it to seal.

He is correct , they are called "banjo" fittings , they were also used on the old phirana pump guns..

I have one of those, I picked it up on eBay for $9. Then I had Doc tap it for NPT fittings. I've read that back in the day they were one of the better expansion chambers; dunno if that's true, but I thought it was worth a try for $9. I haven't used mine since getting it modified.
