My new EPIC

Yep... its that gun that you've always wandered about. It has no bolt. It is impossible for it to chop a ball.

When you pull the trigger back, it shoots air out of holes from behind the breech, and a trap door opens letting another ball fall into the breech. There is no mechanical action applied to the ball at all.

It has zero kick, at all. A very fun gun. Its gas efficiency surprised me by actually being average. Its weight is the same as a Speed angel. It has the shortest mechanical trigger that I have personally ever shot.

I had always been curious about those... Never had the means to get one "just cause"...

I remember for a while, there was a burst of hype about them, then they dissappeared... Do they still make them?

Jim sells them direct from the manufactorer for $450, there was a sale for $420 but thats over.

I'm geting a gloss black left feed soon.

Used it today. Worked wonderfully.

Still trying to get used to the mechanical trigger though, I had some user error problems with short stroking, but even when you short stroke it wont chop, just messes with the velocity.

I recommend this gun.

I must say that I've looked at the Epic for quite a while myself........the gun really interests me. I'd like to have one for sure. I emailed them once and never got a response.......guess I should call and ask some questions over the phone.

HMMMMM..... this design makes me think (not sumthin every design does) maybe if u angle the feed tube so that its pointing back towards u like maybe at 45 degrees or so and jus open that valve n watch that balls be sucked out by air. I'm sure thered be hug efficiantcy problems but id use it for wen im playin with friends at my back yard speed ball course n crank the velocity near 450 n open her up.

These first came out like 10 years ago. There was a big hoopla at first, then it died down until recently. APG recently did another article on them.

They are releasing an electronic framed Epic. I have a video of it somewhere, looks sweet. Theres not much info out on them, but there is some in the ICE forum at pbnation. I was waiting for those, but ive waited for like 4 years so I just broke down and bought the mech version.
