120 meters per second, now my math isn't the greatest, but that's roughly 375 fps give or take. How is that even safe given that current masks are only rated to withstand 300 fps hits?

And amazing that at speeds in excess of 300 FPS, the chance of hitting anything drops to near nil...

And there's a such thing called "air resistance" which a paintball has in spades.

the whole two football feild this i only put cuz i got good at shooting targets downfeild... i dont use that kind of velocity setting against people... hah hah im just having fun with this auction guys dont take it so seriously.. i didnt even expect anyone to go for it.. but whatever..

its not false advertising.. it does shoot this far your guns would probably do the same if you mod them correctly, but you would go against people with that kind of setting would you?

A lot of us aren't taking it too seriously, it did give me a good laugh when i read it, but your description portrays paintball in a very bad light.

Say there's a kid that wants to get a new paintball marker and he goes on ebay to check it out. He sees this thing and thinks it's pretty cool (for the sake of arguement we will say that money is not an issue) so he shows his parents. They read it and instantly they're going to be turned off to the sport as a whole.

All markers shoot the same distance with the same velocity, paint to bore match, regardless of barrel length.

The only barrel that adds range is the flatline barrel, and that's not the greatest investment anyway.

And if you're asking whether I would step out on the field with that marker...I play with people who do things like that all the time. Waste of money.

And now you're telling me I need to modify my markers correctly? I don't need any mods on any of my markers anymore, they shoot just fine for tournament level play.

Vo = 120 m/s
Vy = 120 *sin(10) = 20.836 m/s

Dy = Do +VoT +1/2 A T^2
0 = 1.7 +20.838 T +1/2 * -9.81 T^2
T= 4.328 s

Dx = Vx*t
Vx = 120*cos(10) = 118.177 m/s --> Dx = 118.177 *4.328
=511.52 m = 1677.8 ft

1677.8 ft ~= 5.6 football feilds...
this is without air resistance... so with it might cut it in half or so... whatever.. cya
