I am very happy with the tank armor and none too impressed with the neoprene covers I've used. The part that goes over the fill nipple and other stuff goes on easily and the other half of the armor is a pain. Wiping hits off of the tank armor is another plus 'cuz there isn't any pourous material to retain paint; no stains...

Ultimately, it's your choice... individual mileage will vary....

No holding back there I see But a question for you when the armour is on the bottle what reason to you have to remove it other than for when you have to get it hydro tested. Took me less than 2 minutes to get it on my bottle and I haven't tried to get it off as yet but then I don't need to remove it for another 5 years. The Test label shows through so no unzipping of the cover to allow the bottle fillers to see the label and it stays clean. You may need to remove the front section to clean a hit near the reg but that part does come off easy enough.

to remove it takes seconds. Just take an air hose and stick it on that little hole on the bottom. Comes right off

Are there any other brands of tank armor besides the WDP and Smart Parts? Any links would be helpful also.

Those SP ones look just like those Kalibur tank covers.

Have you tried searching on AO? I could've sworn that's where I heard of them first.

It is the same thing Smart Parts are only the distributers, Kalibur is the company that makes them. They showed them at the World Cup 2 years ago...a little later Smart Parts announce Bottle Armour

well seeing how no one around here ever seems to have what I want when I want it, I ordered the tank armor off the internet,

I'll tell you what I think when it shows up
