Nitrox isn't quite nitrous oxide, but getting there.

      IT WAS A JOKE!!

          they are both the same...
...some call them N2 tanks cause they are holding N2 more than "oxygen" which people think is air...

its sort of like saying "autocockers suck" since the majority of them do

Nitrogen is more stable under extreme conditions.

For example - Nascar fills their tires with nitrogen and not regular compressed air. Theres less inconsistancies with pure nitrogen than compressed air.

...any gas can have a little liquid in it if you get it cold enough...but i dont it cause at room temp ...air is air...DuH!

...if there was a difference betwen N2 and compressed air all the N2 would have to be nitrogen to notice any diference...
...Nitrogen is just before oxygen on the periodic table so its a little lighter and it can triple bond unlike oxygen while oxygen can only double bond...
(hope that helps if it makes anys sense to you)

IN theoretical cirucmstances nitrogen is better.. however you will never see any practical advantage to using it in paitnball with current technology.

for one thing N is more inert, but not as inert as say helium. Back before I knew what was what, I wanted to try filling a paintball tank with helium, but the density/mass is way too low, so you'd either need a tank capable of withstanding MUCH higher pressures or a much bigger tank lol....

I use 40% mix Nitrox so my Mag doesn't get bent. LOL
When I run out of NItrox I take the Argon bottle from my drysuit and hook that up; it intoxicates my X-Valve.
