Mindflux is just trying to encourage people to search first.

Maybe not in the most tactful way, but it is a problem on a lot of boards.
*edit* didn't realize the guy called his topic "Dumb ?" I think that mindflux overreacted. the guy specified it may not be a hardcore ?*edit*

Maybe its best to give the guy his info, and then nudge (or shove) him towards either searching the forum, or googling it.

But don't just jump on him, he probably didn't know any better.
