The viking is a great gun, but it sounds like you have no intention of actually using it, so I would say just keep what you have. If you factor in the shipping you will have to pay sending the Empire and Viking to their buyers, along with all the delay and hassle, its just not worth it. Plus, your gun is very nice looking, and in the end it will work no differently than the alias or the naughty dog.

yeah i know, i just see it as a chance to try something sweet out, and if its no good, come out where u did before...
i do plan on trying out the viking, ive never even seen one at my field more than once. so im gonna try it out, and prob play with it some, and see what i like. may keep it, may not, all i know is i like the setup deal cuz if i dont like it, i wont be any worse off than i was before. then again, i still love my baby lol. even tho its crying for a technatrigger

Sell the Timmy, and get the most awesomest gun, the Viking! Just make sure it really is NIB and he really will give you the money. If so, you go nothing to lose. You get a KICKIN gun with cash OR you can sell the Viking and buy yourself just about any gun you want.

It seems like a win-win situation there.

Well, just remember value goes down once you use it a little. And keep in mind that the trigger on a NIB viking is CRAP. I mean, total crap. You need to set it up and get a razor blade trigger to make it sing. You also will need to send the bolt in for modification, and get new springs, unless the gun comes with them. There were issues with the new detent system and small-bore paint.

I've owned 3 vikings and 2 excaliburs, so if you have any questions, please feel free to PM me. I think they are fantastic markers, equally as good as that empire, though not as sharp looking. They do have a rather rugged-purposeful look about them, however.

Comming from someone who love his Viking. It's not a deal in your favor. You could sell the Timmy for 1200-1300 easy. You can BUY a NIB Viking for 950-1000.

If he was trading you a milled Viking it would be different but it just a stock body (even though they all shoot the same)

If you want the Viking that bad you should be able to trade straight up for it. The extra cash is BS! I traded a NIB DM4(bought it cheap) for my Featherlight. That should give you an idea on the value.

I played with an Alias this evening and I think that they shoot great.

I wouldn't add cash for the Viking.
