    Y-Frame On A Spyder?

Is it possible to make a makeshift (hehe. Make. Makeshift) Y-Frame for use on a spyder? What Im thinking is, construct a skeleton out of aluminum (Would a lathe be able to do it?), mount ESP internals into it, then maybe ditch the board for a morlock. Would this be

    1 - Easier Then Field-Stripping A Mag
    2 - Pretty Damn Easy
    3 - A little work, nothin serious
4 - Consult Doc for help, you'll need it
5 - Get The Books Out, This Ones A Brain-Buster.

This is part of my effort to make a spyder that Im proud of.

I'd say hit the Kingman forum at PBN, www.spyderea.net, or www.spyderzone.net for help. It's been done before, but you might be able to do it better.

I also want to, if possible, move the entire frame forwards a bit more, so its similar to a mag in that one of the screws is inside of the trigger guard.
