Cocker/Mag frames = Interchangeable?

Yes, I have done a search, but for some reason I can't seem to get any results that I can use...

Question: I know that the Cocker and Mag frames used to be interchangeable. Is this still the case? Could I easily swap a Cocker frame onto a mag/vice versa? It'd be damned nice to put a Y Frame on a cocker, or a Teeter frame on a 'mag...hehehe.

They are not interchangeable anymore. The trigger setup is different as well. However, I bet with some slight modifications...

Because the Y grip is hollow, there is no place to put the cocker sear or springs. Because the places for the sear/springs are blocking the way, you cannot put a mag sear in a cocker frame.

You have to make a new hole because its a little off.. but otherwise put one on and make it work.

search for medusa frames...

Not likely you'll find much, but they're made to switch out between mags and cockers. Pretty sweet frames, too IMO

I think he was joking by refering to the fact that mag frames are interchangeable with other mag frames, and cocker frames are interchangeable with other cocker frames.
