Running a mag on co2

Hi please don't flame me if this is a stupid question but is it possible to run a automag on c02 and if so what would i have to do to it. Im wondering because I have a sweet deal on a mag but its a huge hassel to fill up co2 around here.

You can run a Classic Automag on CO2. but NOT on the newer valves like a RT,retro,x-valve.
If it is a classic, make sure that your tank has a professionally installed anti-siphon tube.
HPA will give you much more consistant velocity!

You can also use a remote if ya got one or dont wanna antisiphon your tank(s).

I have a minimag with lx and i run it on straight co2 just fine, i also have an ACI 4stage on there. I have been running mine like this for almost 2 years and never had any problems.

From my experience, the best thing for CO2 use is a coiled remote. Expansion chambers, gas-through grips, Palmer Stabilizers, etc... all help, but remotes have given me the best, trouble-free operation.

Just like everyone else said. You can run the classic valve on CO2.. If you do, make sure you have an anti-syphon installed on your tank and I would run something like a Palmer Stabalizer for a gas-thru.

Dont think you can get away with just an expansion chamber. I used to run my classic mag off of Co2, and I had a 6 stage ACI on there. It still froze up. Anti syphon, and expansion chamber might do the trick, but yes, the best thing to do is use remote.

I ran my level 7 Mag on CO2 for a decade. I used a vertical 12 oz bottle with a good off-on valve (large hole). I froze the tank on several occations and still was able to shoot the Mag (not very well, but good enough to prevent people from bunkering me because they thought my Mag was not working)

And the vertical 12 oz made a very stable mono-pod. (as opposed to a bipod)

I do highly recommend HPA, but you go with what you can afford...

What about if I had a female palmer Stabalizer i've heard their good for co2 and a remote would that work ok.

Anti-siphoned CO2 will be fine unless you have a RT, ReTro, or X-Valve.
