that trigger actually looks pretty nice. if it had ace or some sort of anti-ball chopping device i would be sold. those new pirahnas with the eyes are a great deal at like $260, and they look good on top of that.Tequila Fade Defiant w/ mad ups F/S CHEAP!!!

Actually, that's technically incorrect.Originally posted by Glickmantechnically you can even call a timmy a spyder clone...
although its only really apparent in the earlier models
The only thing that was related to a "spyder clone" was only one part... the body. Everything else was radically different from a typical "sypder clone" and how it operated.
- true electro-pneumatic
- dual reg block
- frame with integrated drop
- etc.
If you were to break the gun down into components, and studied the parts and how they functioned together, the Timmy is much closer to being an "Angel clone", than a "Spyder clone".

basically, ones spring returned, the other is pneu. i thought that really early "timmies" like the millenium were spring returned too though..
eventually im gonna put a solenoid into my spyder... heh yes, why use a dye trix when u can use a spyder...
ahh, the good ol days of "springers"

Actually, the Spyders and Pirahnas came after the ACI illustrators
Which I believe came after the VM68's?"Accuracy by aiming."
Definitely not on the A-Team.

...which one (timmy or spyder) are you talking about when you say "spring returned"?

mag/spyder
Actually, a mag can be said to be more like a spyder in one way... spyders use spring forward air back, while mags use air forward spring back, but neither spyders nor timmy's use springs for return and both use poppet valves to fire up through the bolt. Timmy's have been called spyder clones because older bodies were designed to BE spyder clones but got redesigned to be the Timmy.Feedback: http://www.automags.org/forums/showt...hreadid=105565

Thank you Cryer for giving credit where credit is due. I'm proud to be an ACI F4 Illustrator owner. But yes there were lots of others before the F-Series. It just make's me kinda irritated when people call them spyder clones. That's just an insult in my book.Originally posted by Cryerstacked-tube, open-bolt, blowback.
