Steel Flatline VS Preset 68 3000

i may be getting a steel AGD Flatline. One thing is that the tank is flat on bottom and I'm worried about it. I don't think it will rest on my shoulder that good compared to my old fiber tank. Is there a way to make the bottom work good on my shoulder? Are there tank covers made for steel tanks that have rubber grip on them?

the steel tank is only 48 ci... not nearly enough, especially pressurized to only 3000 psi. Save your money, and purchase a 68 4.5 tank man.. serriously.

I have an aluminum 3k 48 flatline....

Its a brick, and I don't get many shots off of it...

It shoulders fine for me, but a tank cover is a good idea regardless because it will protect the tank.

So there really isn't a 68 ci version? I mainly wanted a Flatline so I could get "Mad Trigger Bounce" with my X-Valve. My friends X-Valve and Flatline rip! It goes like full auto at 15 balls a second. My preset tank doesn't do that at all. It's not that reactive. If the steel flatline is a 48 ci, I don't think I'll want it because the 68ci is the perfect size for me and has more shots. I would be losing about 200 shots by going to the smaller tank. I normally carry almost 600 rounds into a game. With a 48 I would not be able to shoot all 600 rounds.

i was able to get fun trigger bounce, but now i put the ULT in...

my 48 is as big as a 68 fiber wrap... but weighs more.
the bottle expires next month, so I'm planning on replacing the bottle instead of rehydroing it (with a larger bottle...)

That's what I was thinking but I said steel anyways.

Today I got the Flatline in a trade. So I'm probably going to keep the Flatline reg but switch tanks. I'm putting my PMI Pure Energy 68/3000 on the Flatline. Then putting the 48 CI onto my old Pure Energy Preset regulator and giving it back to the guy that gave me the Flatline. That will solve the small capacity problem for me. In the end I will have a fiber 68ci/3000psi Flatline system on my X-Valved Minimag.

Fred, how do you like your ULT? I might get it this summer. Is it faster than the reactive trigger?

I'm gonna be doing the same bottle swap on mine soon (i hope).

So far I like the ULT... it needs a little bit of tuning... hopefully Tater can give it a whirl this week.

My Level 10 is what's being a pain right now... I can't figure it out...

make sure you have somebody that knows what they're doing do your bottle swaps with those regs, especially the screwin.

What's wrong with your level 10? I might be able to help, i've had two level 10 setups. The bottle swap is being done by my local paintball shop. He's going to heat up the neck of the bottle to losen the lock-tite, then put in in a vice to unscrew the Flatline reg. I think this is standard procedure? Someone out there comfirm this for me. From what I know from SCUBA tanks, heat is not supposed to be exposed to HP cylinders.

AGD doesn't use loctite... i wouldn't heat up the tanks.
