    Evo2 or HaloB?

I might get a good deal on trading my Evo2+cash for a HaloB, and I can't decide what to do. This is not a bps issue, I know that I can't outshoot my evo2 with my RTP, but I'm just so sick of the plastic cracking constantly. But then again, I've heard of other problems with Halo.
What would you choose, simply considering durability? I want to use my backup vl2000 as little as possible.
BTW, don't tell me to get a rev. Whatever hopper I choose, I will use it on my next marker as well, which hopefully will be my current, with a hAir-trigger, whenever it's released.

Personally I like the Halo B better than Evo2 but I like the Reloader B better than both because it comes stock with rip drive.
I wish I was a zombie, but I'd be a smart zombie like Jesus.

Halo B is for sure the best. Superb quality, durable, best plastic!!!
The only minus ( my opinion ) is when you have to clean inside of a broken paintball, is more complicated to take apart and reassemble, but it is not impossible to do that.
Halo B with rip drive is very useful!!!

        Halo B

        Hey Joni,

I used to run a EVO II on my RT Pro before I went warp. The only reason I changed was that the EVO set too far back and bumped my mask. However, now that I have the HALO, I like it a lot better.

When I had the EVO, the only problem I had with it was the poor construction. I had to use electrical tape to keep the battery door shut. And the loader door was cracked in a couple of places. It was not well designed. It feels cheap. It is a pain to take apart and put back together. It also Looks like a football (american, not the soccer ball you Europeans call a football, ha ha) on top of your marker. But, it was fast, easy to turn on and off and the locking loader door was nice for reloading.

The HALO B is also fast. It is very well made. It just feels more solid. But, it is heavy! Also, if can be hard to tell if it is on or off. It just has a push button. But, if it sits for a while it will turn itself off. If your not carefull between games, it will cut off on you and you won't know it. Also, since it has eyes in the neck, if you break paint in the neck, the eyes may not function. I have also heard that they will not pick up certain dark colored paints. Some have told be that the Marbs with black stripes will not work in HALOs. The HALO also hold fewer balls than the EVO.

Overall, I like the preformance and features of the EVO. For my marker and style of play it was good enough at a better price. But, with the Warp, I needed a diff. loader. Now that I have the Halo, I like the way it's built better. I'm not afraid it's gonna fall apart on me. But, It could be better.

        Hope this helps,

          Tough call.

I've been going back and forth myself. The Evo 2 has been more reliable performance wise,as in,I've had like a dozen of them and they've all worked perfectly.I have had issues with the plastic though over time.

I've also had 3-4 Halos and have had good luck with the plastic and questionable luck with reliable performance and mechanical durability.

          SO............

I just picked up a Reloader B last week and am hoping to do better in both areas with it.

All I can say is at least with the Evo2,you can see the cracks coming so it won't be a surprise if it breaks,un like a Halo B that may take a crap anytime without warning.

i personally like the evo. while the battery door on mine is broken, i just tape it up. i could go in there and put in different contacts that don't put as much pressure on the door, i'm to lazy. and i never had any problems with the door breaking, probably cause i grounded the little plastic things down a bit so it doesn't catch when trying to close it. if you mod the egg, i think it's better. i have seen way to many halo lids break (broke a few myself) and feed necks break. if i can some how get a camera, i'll make a vid to show my adjustments. might take a long time

Yeah, Evo. You can customize their color much easier.

hey if bps isnt an issue than its just up to prefferance but the halo is more consistant and if you eventually upgrade to a faster shooting marker the halo is the way to go but it is heavy.

i use im evo2, but i have tried the halos,
personally i like the evo cause its LIGHT, and holds more paint, i havent had any problems with yet, cause i do take care of them like all of us... halos are fast DAMN their fast, but its HEAVY... and those things eat batteries like a homeless, foodless kid in a thirdworld country... hehe
i think you should try them first... borrow from somebody and play with for a couple of games just to see...

You can run a Reloader B on 4 batteries instead of 6. Doesn't sound like much till you put it on your gun.

If you find you are cracking shells on Halo's or Reloaders, try not to screw the battery lid on so hard. Light pressure will hold it in place.

Thanks for the help. I think I will stay with my Evo2, and save the money for whenever I need new shells. And spacemoneky, I take care of my Evo2 as well, but there's only so much you can do when sliding into the wooden 50, and you misjudge the slide

And, like I said you can always color it (if it's clear) to match the rest of your gear. Pretty simple too. As soon as I get mine back I can tell you how the intellifeed works as well. Mark!!

When did I say they couldnt be? They just take much longer, and it isnt worth the risk of melting the shell. Evo shells only take about 20 minutes to color, and while you have a risk of melting the shells, all you have to do is keep stirring. I'd rather not be standing there for an hour stirring, hoping my shells arent getting edited out cursing - cphilip up. Trust me on this, Evo shells are MUCH easier to color. Very quick, and simple.

Oh wow. I didn't realize that. Now why didn't I bother to check how easy it would be to color my shells when I bought my hopper?
