    HALO-B Z-Code issues?

I've seen a few people in my local area have problems with their Z-Coded Halos.

The problem I mean is that I, and a few others, have snapped the spring retention part of the drive cone. Is this a common thing?

I know I have to replace it either way, just curious to see if this is just me.

Yes, it is my understanding that this is something that has been happening quite often. Mine has yet to snap though.

Mine snapped before I got the Z-code installed. I think it just happens to all of them at some point. There's a lot of pressure on that teeny bit of plastic. I'd recommend greasing up the belt. It takes a little bit of the force off without sacrificing much in the way of speed.

doesnt have anything to do with z-code. My teammates just broke, but hes had it for about 2 years so i guess its ok. Its just a 5 dollar part anyway.

Try $15. They don't sell it on their site without the spring and the disk underneath the cone.

That kind of upset me too. I bought a drive cone from them at the Memphis Indoor for $5 but when I went to buy a spring, a few weeks later ,I had to buy the whole drive package for $15. Apparently you can buy the small parts by themselves, if you catch them at events, but not online.

single parts are available from dealers, not direct from the company.

Had one break too but I think it was before the Z code update. The other Halo B I had broke something else before that had a chance to.
