what kind of detents do you use?

I have not had very good luck with the AGD detents. I even tried some of the magnetic detents that kileaud was selling in the dealer forum but those are made of a soft metal instead of plastic and bolt action slowly wore a point in the ball and it started chopping.

Does anyone use any other detents? I'm down to my last couple I want to order a few good ones pretty soon so i'd appreciate some feedback.

I've got the Kilauea Kid Magnetic Detents. They are metal, but I haven't experienced any problems with them, and even if I did, they are rebuildable. They also come in some awesome colors!! :o

If you seriously wore a hole in a Kila detent your setup wrong and its in too far and close to getting bolt stick from it.
Or you have fired 100,000+ times dry and with paint.
Have you tried asking Kila/Rob for a replacement piston? I recall he might replace them for free.

i used one of those planet eclipse fang detents. i fired it once and my bolt slammed into it and tore it up. i dont know if it was in too far, maybe i should have used another oring on the outside but its shredded now so i went back to the stock one that came with the ULE body

Really sounds like your detents are setup to far in. I've had no problem with the Kilua magnetic detents or the AGD ones.

i also use Kilauea Kid Magnetic Detents and have not had a problem. i had to adjust them onto the marker in the beginning witht eh supplied orings, but after that they have not failed me.

my kilauea detent has served me well too however there are some ideas that i have that could make it better/easier to use plus i wish the cap was a bit stronger

maybe take a fine file to the point and round it back out

i use warped sportz iron cross detents
they are pretty good...they are for angel threaded..so if you have a slug or a ule...or anything that came from one of those

Some of the first ULE's had detent problems, and I if I remember right all that was needed was to add another oring, so that they could'nt screw in too far. Do a search, I sure you'll find threads about it.
