    Efficient Alternative

Don't get me wrong, I love my mag, but the lack of gas efficientcy is killing me. Nitrogen isn't available in my area, so I have to drive out of town to get it filled, and this is a pain considering I can't get a full 500 shots off of my 47cu 3000psi tank. Does anyone know any reasonably affordable alternatives that can run longer on a single air tank. I've been eyeing the assault 80, but haven't been able to find very much helpful information on it, what do you all think?
    Thanks

Buy a scuba tank and you can play all day, or more. The tank and a fill adapter should run about $150-$200 depending on where you get it. My local scuba shop sells fill cards for $50 that gets me 10 fills for $5 each.

Vikings, certain e-cockers, matricies with evolve bolt kits, and cyborgs are all very efficient.

Okay I'll check into those guns, thanks for the replies.

I was thinking more in the 300-450 range on the markers, any decently efficient ones in that category?

side note-i shot an assult 80 at a CFOA event, it felt sort of like a matrix, but, what i couldnt get over was that the trigger guard was absolutely TINY, like, if you have large hands you can fit them in tiny, i have rather skinny fingers, and i could barely move them enough to walk the trigger in there. THe guy who had is said that newer models had larger ones, but just though you might ilke to know. Besides the trigger guard, the only downside i saw was that it was kind of weighty.

My fingers are pretty skinny, so I don't see myself having a problem there, thanks though. What kind of barrel threading does the '80 take?

i really think anyone would have a problem with the trigger guard if its still the same size, i meen, the trigger was less than a cm from the guard at the bottom, it felt like even a 3year old child wouldnt have room in the guard, but i guess you'd get used to it?

Used Bushmaster off eBay. One with decent upgrades should cost you $250 or less. One of the most important upgrades for both reliability and efficiency is an aftermarket valve (Vapor, Red, etc. does not really matter). A used B2K or Bushmaster 2000 is a much better gun than most BKOs I have seen, and much more reliable too.

A 47/3000 tank is quite small, though. Sell it and buy a 68/4500 or a 88/3000 - these should be cheap.

You cant expect more than 500 shots off of a 47/3000 on any gun.

Get a Viking. Got one and used it this weekend. With 3000psi intentionally in a 68CI 4500psi tank, to measure effeciency, I got 1500 balls before the tank took a dump.

A cheaper alternative if you don't have RT is to use a 20oz CO2 tank. All day air baby!

Most markers in the 350-400 pricerange aren't really that much more efficient than you mag. Your best bet would be to buy a bigger tank. Remember, you could just buy a new tank, and get the reg from you old tank.
