Introduction of a Mag Newb and a Few Q's

    Hello,
My name is Wints and I am new to this forum but i had some questions about mags and when I asked on my 'cocker forum, they said this is the best resource for mags period. So I am here and I have a few questions about mags.

I was recently linked to the deadly wind hair trigger demo video and all I can say is WOW. I had always like mags(they look really cool and the idea of being able to be mech or electro on the same gun blew my mind) but after seeing the deadly wind gun, I was sold. So I have decided to build a mag. I want this to be a project gun(I like to tinker, hence me being a 'cocker owner) but I have no earthly idea what to start with. I figured I will need a body, a grip frame, a bolt, etc. I really like the 0.01mm pull on a mech gun displayed by deadly wind. So, what do I need to throw together a mag for myself? Where can I find material to read about mags? And, where is the best place, besides AGD direct, to order mag parts and upgrades?

Thanks for you help in advanced,
    Wints

cheack out the tko mag at www.pbgear.com it is a great starter for anyone who is getting into mags. Also check out rougefactor and tunaman if you are looking for great parts and service or even a nice rt ule custom. If you want to dive right into higher end mags and parts, go ahead and buy an RT ULE Custom. Tunaman, Rouge factor, and white wolf airsmithing are all great places/people to buy one from

Yeah the Deadlywind hAir trigger has many stoked about the possibilities of electro trigger performance on a mechanical platform. The general concensus here on AO seems to be sometime in 2005 for a projected release and in between $250 to $350 price ala TK for the DeadlyWind trigger frame. I too will be selling my other guns for an X valved Deadlywind! Roguefactor , Coolhand, and Tunaman are great sources for buying parts for your project or complete guns if you so choose. Run a search for "Helpful Mag Links" and that should answer a lot of your questions. Welcome to AO!

If you really want to tinker with a mag trigger and like the deadlywind trigger, try and make your own pnuematicaly activated trigger. Thats my plan, i cant wait 7 months to pay 350$ for 1. I want instant gratification!
