    Problem

I am kind of new with automags and i am having a little problem with my gun.I have a 68 classic with an Air America nitro tank. My gun shoots like it is suppose to when i take like a second between each shot, but when i try to fire rapid the velocity drops dramatically until i stop firing then refire its back to its normal velocity. Does anyone know how i can fix this problem? Do i need a new part? So if anyone can help me it will be much appreciated.

    Thank You

    patience...

    Howdy,

A quick answer; mags are relatively easy to short stroke. If you aren't completely off the trigger in between shots, it will "chuff" and skip a shot.

If this isn't the problem, it may be a worn sear, but I kinda doubt it. Mags are pretty indestructable.

I'm sure more seasoned voices will soon chip in...

im not much more seasoned, but what's the output pressure on your tank? If the less pressure you have entering the valve, the slower it will recharge. I can't imagine it being THAT low though. Also, the tank is full, correct? First thing I'd do if no one replies here soon is take apart your valve and clean and oil it. That might fix it.

A good cleaning is the best idea to start with. Check all the little passages that air travels thru. Maybe a buildup of dirt or soemthing is blocking air flow.

oil or orings..if you picked it up used then odds are the rings have been frozen to death..also is your tank full..is it adjustable if so then you need to have around a 700-800 psi output. um one word of caution the reg seat should be replaced almost every time you take apart the vavle so make sure you seat it right or replace. the reg seat is the thick oring that sits in between the two halves of the valves.

When you say "rapid fire" How fast does that entail? I had this problem when I had a classic, but it was because I was shooting it fast enough to encounter shoot down. A x-valve solved that problem quite nicely.
