    Level 10 Question

Ok I just bought a cheap mag with level 10 installed. The catch is that it didn't come with any of the unused spacers/shims/springs, etc. It shoots at 280-300 fps fine, but This weekend i have to play indoors where the limit is 250 fps. Will this require re-adjustment of the level 10? If so im in trouble with no parts.

no, it shouldn't need adjustment. Just turn the back velocity screw out a tiny bit.

Unless you've got the shortest spring (brass colored) in the gun, it most likely won't fire at that low of a velocity.

Not true. You will probably need a shorter spring, if you don't have the shortest spring already. If you can get hold of a lvl7 spring you will be fine.

edit: Someone was faster =). I was referring to Danman69's post

thanks for the help, i hope this works. i dont have a chrono but i tried taking the velocity down until the gun wouldnt fire and it didnt seem to develop any leaks or anything.

Changing to a different spring won't change anything operationally except the pressure range at which the gun will fire.
Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.

I appear to have the shortest spring. Am I right to say that, when installing the level 10, the ultimate goal is to get it to work with the shortest spring? If so:groovy

Not really, b/c the longer the spring, the softer on paint. The mid spring is what many people use. (I can get mine down to 250-260 on the Mid) It's a good mix between operating velocities, efficiency & softness on paint.

Your goal should be to get it to shoot with the longest spring you can at the desired velocity range.
