    Automag Newb with qustions...

Hello, let me start by saying hi, i just found this forum and i'm new to automags. I currently have an 02 vf cocker, but i'm looking at other guns. Since i mostly play woodsball and im looking to get into scenario play, i would like a gun more oriented for that kind of thing, and someone told me tippmanns and automags are. Well i would be looking at an A-5, but i shoot lefty, and the cyclone feed is in the way. So here I am, what is the big deal with automags? Why are they so good? Is it a good gun to get on the budget i have (about $400.00)? Are they wood reliable throw in the corner and forget it guns? Or are they pull it out and tweak your pnuematics cocker type gun? Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

      To answer your question.....
First off mags are NOT just scenario guns.
The big deal with mags is the same reason they are so reliable, simplicity of design.
Yes on a budget of $400 you can get in to mags, I would suggest getting one from either Rougefactor or Tunaman here on AO or most anyone in the buy/sell/trade section you will get more for your money.
And finaly as long as you oil it regularly it should always work, I have owned a classic valved mag for over 7 years and never had a problem not even a leak, and an RT for about 2 years and again no problems. Yes you can basically use it and toss it in the corner, although I would recommend obviously that after a day of play some time before you use it again to pop it a part and clean it, oil it, and the only part you have to really worry about cleaning regularly[other than the barrel] it the valve which breaks in to 3 basic pieces and goes back together quick, about as far from a cocker as you can get, don’t get us wrong[well most of us] cockers are great guns but you will find a mag to be a refreshing change from the cocker.

hope this helps and enjoy whatever you get,
any other questions drop me a PM or post here im sure some one will answer it.
