I was wondering if its worth it to get a scuba tank to fill between 3 people? How many fills am I expected to get? I know its about $80-$100 and I can get the tank filled at local scuba shop for $15 but is it really worth it in fills?

15$??? i get my scuba tank filled for 5... oh well, its worth it either way... i got a scuba tank and its good for a full day w/ two people (thats 2 people w/ the most inefficent guns ever... a rtp and a a-5 w/ flatline and rt) its also really useful if you have a problem with your gun and you have to test it. i got my scuba tank a month or two ago, and ive already saved money over getting individual fills. -
Unless you go somewhere where you can get all day fills for free....
, I'd say a Scuba tank would be worth it for 3 people.... And how long it lasts depends entirely on how much paint you guys shoot.

My scuba only cost $3 dollers. I can get about 3 3000psi fills. and about 10-15 1000psi-2000psi. so i think its worth it if you play at a field were you dont have all day air or if they dint fill air. get one its worth even if your only using it to work on your gun at home.Aim 21 eagle cocker w/ eblade 4 sale see link

wow; my field charges like $5.50 to fill up my 68ci/4500psi tank! Im glad one of my friends has a compressor that I'll have access to soon...Comment

Make sure you do some research before you buy a used tank. Some dive outlets dump junk tanks on paintball players because they know they are dumb about scuba stuff.
Here in Sac, I bought a 80/3300 tank for $170 new. Fills are $5.

Yeah, my friend was given a faulty scuba tank by a company he didnt know was goin outof business. He later found out that the tank was recalled because the regs were known to shoot of and kill people. Needless to say he got a new tank and just about everything the guy had because he sold him a faulty tank and he was out of business. Its kinda hard to feel bad about someone that will sell a deadly tank to a kid just because he was goin out of business, and now look, he doesnt have anything.Comment

If you play rec or work on your markers alot, scuba is a good idea. Some fields wont allow you to use them, but that depends on where you go. I recommend getting 2 tanks if you can afford it, especially for 3 people. That way you can get a base fill with one, and top off with the other. Otherwise you will be getting around 2k after about 4 fills. I am looking to get rid of my 2 tanks if your interested. they need to be hydro tested, but if your local to me ill let em go seriously cheap. And yes, $15 is a major rip. mine fills them for 5.Comment

Ok I have a 68/3000 and I get about 4 fills at 3000 psi, and it generally starts to go down from there. But i can go a whole day without it going under 2000 psi.I am a declared Carb lover.
