    JB Weld?

    Hey guys

I may do eyes for my featherlite, and JMJ's dont fit.

Will JB Weld hurt the anno if I take it off? Or, what should I use to hold the eyes on?

Is JB weld the actual compound HK uses?

Is JB weld transparent - interfering with eyes?

Is JB weld the actual compound HK uses? I think HK uses epoxy.

Is JB weld transparent - interfering with eyes? No, it looks like a blob of metal.

JB Weld is some tough stuff. It is an epoxy with aluminum dust in it. Once you use it, it becomes a permanent part of whatever it's on. Although it doesn't stick to plastics very well. It takes about 24 hours to cure and is solid grey in color.

it doesnt bond to plastic - will it bond to the insualtion on my eyes?

should i attempt to use an epoxy before I use the JB, even put something over the open port?

The guy who owned that Excal goes by "Gecko" on here. I believe he's an AKA tech so I'd ask him about it.

            Probably.

Look, JB Weld is Baaaad stuff. Once you put it on metal it stays for good. I have never seen anyone break or remove a JB weld, and It's not the prettiest thing in the world either. Although, you can polish and file it after it cures. If your really serious about using it, what I suggest is this. Get yourself package (it comes in 2 tubes) and play with the stuff on a spare piece of metal like a coffee can or whatever you have lying around. See if you can get it to do what you want. Then practice a little till you get good. If you don't, whatever you create is sure to look worse than that Mountain Dew contraption above this post.

Personally I would look for a less perminant solution.

I just got the sudden urge to buy a spyder or some other cheap pos just to jb weld mountain dew cans all over it. Man I cant believe people used to pay 2 grand for an adrenalin angel with the mountain dew anno when all they had to do was that.
