I went through the uspto.gov site and looked at everything both granted and pending under the name Kotsiopoulos and wan't able to find anything regarding magnetic assist triggers or the HES, although there is a Thomas G Kotsiopoulos in Illinois who appears to be a prolific inventor of coupon apparatus?!

Probably the most interesting thing I did find though was the patent for the Angel LCD, which covers just about every conceivable variation of both on-gun and off-gun diagnotic software and displays. Every universal connection type from serial, USB, Firewire, radio, infrared, wireless, memory stick/card, disk drives or even the generic "data carrier" is covered?!?

      See Patent #6615814

I wonder if every electro manufacturer has properly licensed said technology? Notice how the inventors prioritized the information that the trigger frame could display ... the all important temperature is at the top of the list!

I've talked to Tom in the past about the magnetic trigger - He DID NOT patent it. Back before Jim Drew was lying about BPS, boards, ramping dwell and the like - he tried to claim on PBN that he "invented" the application of the HES in paintball. The funny thing was that the Emag had been out for almost a year at that point... Anyhow, that's why I had reason to ask Tom - Jim was trying to claim it was his idea first. Sadly the thread was lost in a crash of the PBN database.

Illinois, where AGD is based out of.

Thomas (Tom for short) Kotsiopoulos (Kaye for short).

            Is that last name Italian?

We have a patent applied for on the magnetic trigger along with the solenoid tripped sear. They are hastling us on the solenoid so the patent is delayed. We are keeping it in process so hopefully we can pull a fast one and screw a bunch of people out of money down the road.

forgive me for being a bastage, but i'm appalled I still have yet to see a Greek name that sounds remotely Italian. Now keep in mind that I'm a sheep-banger myself
