Bunkerfest II in San Antonio more pics and videos

Greetings all

Here are a few pics and a short movie of some of the "one on one" matches from Bunkerfest II this afternoon being held at the Krossfire field down in San Antonio this Friday thru Monday. Today, Friday, was one on one only. Tomorrow is 3 man and Sunday and Monday are 5 man. I won't be out there Saturday but I will be there Sunday afternoon, but I'll need someone to host any more images or videos since Road Runner only gives me 5 megs of space and this post uses it all.

For the one on one matches, they wanted to make sure everyone was on an even keel to begin with so they had all the players use Mac Dev Cyborgs with Hammerhead barrels that the tournament folks provided. Each player used their own hopper. Some of those guys could really make those things rip. In the first pic one of the players posed with a cyborg for me so you could get a closer look at them. Enjoy!

So how do they like the Hammerhead barrels? Are they another Armson or are they actually worth the money?

BTW I think it'd be awesome if there was a skycam type deal to get a more elevated view of the action.

I didn't hear any complaints about the barrels but I don't think anyone had used them before today. When the organizers were telling all the players they were going to use cyborgs with hammerhead barrels he refered to them as "one of the best guns with the best barrels out there", so I guess they have a pretty high opinion of them. I never heard anyone walking off the field complaining about this lousy barrel couldn't hit the broad side of a barn or anything like that. The only complaint I heard was with the small tank (45/4500) and the drop setup making a much shorter marker than they were used to.

They did have a big scissor lift that they probably used to hang the netting. I should have asked if I could have used that to get a higher view of the action. I just thought it was cool of the refs to let me put on a mask and step inside of the netting to take pictures.

I don't think those are drop forward. They look like a dovetail mounted rail system.

Hello all

Here are some pictures from Bunkerfest II on Sunday. Today was the 5 man tournament. I'll be posting some video of the action as soon as I get it moved over to my system.


This first pic is Curtis (Havoc_online) educating some poor lost soul about the mortal sin of not having a level 10 bolt on his classic mag.


This is Clare, whom everyone probably already knows anyway. I got to meet both Clare and Curtis today and they both are real nice folks. Curtis even agreed to sell me his supermag for...um.....$10. Um...yeah that's it.....$10! What a great guy!


This is the WGP setup. I had no idea they grew their guns out of 55 gallon drums. I wonder how you can tell when they're ripe enough to pick?


The CP sales tents. Very nice also.


Evil paint and such. Apparently some kind of world domination thing going on there.


This was part of the staging area. I think this tent ran on for about 3 or 4 miles, but that may have just been the heat affecting my vision.
