My friend and I were playing in a local tournament the otherday and we both have ULE customs both with the ULE trigger job. Before the tournament they had to check for response and trigger bounce. My friend got got kicked out of the tournament for response and I did too. (luckily I had my back up marker with me so I could still play.) But was that a good call? doesn't the Trigger job almost eliminate response?
Response?

You tell us. Are you able to get multiple shots off with a single trigger pull? If so, did you try removing a shim from the ULT? If you had adjustable tanks did you try loweing your input pressure? I can make my mag completely unbouncable (hey I made up a new word!Originally posted by dark assasinBut was that a good call? doesn't the Trigger job almost eliminate response?
).
Unfortunately there is a lot of misinformation about RT mags out there. If you were able to demonstrate that your mags weren't bouncing, then it was a bogus call and you should have been allowed to play. On the other hand, if your mags still require a little tuning to get rid of the bounce, then it was a good call. It's on you to make sure that your marker meets the requirements of the tourney you're participating in.
Nonetheless, it's a drag that this happened to you. I'm sure that if you search around a bit, you'll see that it's pretty easy to get rid of bounce with the ULT and you should be in better shape for your next tourney.
Good luck!Eric Cartman

They didn't even shoot our mags they just looked at them and said " ULE isn't that like the RT? NO RT'S!" and we were offWALK SOFTLY AND CARRY A BIG STICK

Yeah, that's what I meant about the misinformation. There are too many pylons out there who know nothing about the gun or the way it operates and think that they all bounce illegaly. I'd suggest protesting with the people who ran the tourney, but I don't know how far you'll get against closed minds. That was definitely a BS call.
Sorry to hear that.Eric Cartman

yes, get incontact with them, and show them that the rtule is completely tourny legal. Unlike the tippman responce trigger, which gives the RT a bad name. The Rt, when not bouncing, is completely legal, and they should have known this. get in contact with them

I have one or two shims in my ULT and I have NO bounce. If I put all my shims in I still get barely any bounce. Tank output 800psi.

AGD Did someone call me?
You should go to each gun manufacturers forum or call them up. Ask the OWNER of the company why his gun is better. When you get your answers come back here and tell us what they said.
You should buy my gun because I have 5000 posts that say I care.

Tourneys will use either NPPL, or XPSL (former Pan-Am) rules. BOTH require the ref, or head ref, to shoot the marker in question. Ruling simply by design is not allowed. You should have taken it to the tourney committee.
Obviously they are confused about TIPPMAN RT's and AGD RT's. But that is no excuse for not doing a physical test. I hope you got your entrance fee back.
