So speaking realistically... How would this thing be organized, where would it take place and how do we decide who is on each state's team? Like California would have no problem finding members but just picking 5-10 would be hard. Where as here in Virginia we would have trouble getting 10 and we can't be sure all 10 could attend. I guess we'd have to combine with a couple other states.

Would there have to be tryouts for the teams? o_O

SC V.S. NC SC I mean winner plays winner of GA V.S. FL
and so on and so one and get it down to SC v.s CA I mean the top two teams

Well, you could probably do this for several places. NorCal and So Cal could enter seperately, as could NYC vs AO-NY. There are easily enough people on the forum to field several dozen teams from Jersey and Texas alone. My original thought when I brought this up a year ago is to allow natural state rivals to manage their games independantly and turn in the results, then quarterfinals, semis etc would be held at either regional meets or as side events at places like Shatner, IAO, etc.

Very simple though: Field an in-state 10-man team. If there are several in-state teams then those teams will have to play a satellite game or play-in series until a state has only one representing team. The designated team captain must bring an authentic state flag for their home state for use in a series of capture-the-flag games. Declare an opponent and arrange time/date at a neutral site.

I would gladly volunteer time, web services, and so on to help organize schedules, game formats, brackets, and such.

All I know is I'm on AO-OH, and we want that team up north first!
