Automag bolt question

Hey all, was just wondering;

would it be possible to create a much 'smaller' bolt? I ask this because it seems that the bolt could be made shorter, with some modifications (Im not suggesting it, but maybe AGD could look into it?).Also if the bolt were shorter wouldnt the cycle rate increase? Less reciprocating mass?

Or am I talking out of my ***?

Take your bolt off and look how long the power tube is.

I am gonna have to say #2 is my final answer!

well dur. Im saying make the power tube somwhat longer, or the bolt-stem longer. Could maybe even make more of the valve concealed inside the body. I'm not talking 1 hour conversion here.

um, if you make the bolt stem longer, it will take even longer for it to cycle. its at its maximum. tom has engineerred this valve beyond recognition, its setup for its maximum in performance

A shorter bolt will expose the breach causing blowback and/or ball chops.

Just curious, have you ever heard of or used Interactive Physics? Interesting (Expensive) program, I designed a STBB on it and 'fired', all the 'effects' seemed in check. Very neat program...
