TOM, has the loyal Automag fan base in anyway hindered the r&d of the AGD line of products? Either in the past, present or soon to be future.

Has it made you think twice or thrice about releasing products. Or did it do the opposite?

Are you comfortable with the Automag line of guns set in its own niche or do you even want to expand interms of sales? say on the level of bob long or WDP.

In what way is Automags.org a valubel asset to your market research?

When someone says: "That's agg!" or "Kickin' Rad!" TK notes this as approval. "That sucks" or, "That's fugly!" is disapproval. And AO is helpful in this way.

There's a science to getting feedback from the customer-base as far as product development goes.

Of course, I have seen one or two debacles, if you will, where the AO group HAS thrown a wrench into things. Never intentionally, and sometimes only marginally, but there has been a couple of times I have seen Tom a little tense due to the sometimes fickle nature of the group. It is up to Tom to decide what to pay attention to, what to note, and what to dismiss.

well, of course tom is ultimately going to do what he want. Im just curious to know wether fratenization with AO, as a peer group (paintballer) has hindered certaing ideas.

I must say that AO has helped a lot as I have said on many occasions. In general they keep me out of trouble. I was hoping that they could lead me down the right path but that seems to be blurred by the great variety of opinions we get when asking for feedback.

If your DYE you can make the ugliest gun in the world and sell a boat load. If your Tippmann you can get away with making them only in black because your cheap but if your AGD you have to be very careful about what you invest your time and money in and AO helps keep that in focus.

I think Tom has said before that there are too many patents taken up that you cant' possibly make a hopper without violation. All of the patents are split between viewloader and oydessy i believe. (The way a hopper works and all) But then again Q loader made a new hopper.
