Accuracy Problem

Hi, I'm pretty new to cockers but I am learning. I just purchased a 2k4 Nightkast (which has the e-blade) and I've put a Superfly Delrin bolt on it and thats about it. Here is the problem, I shot my friend's Omen yesterday and loved it but I still love my cocker. Somehow it seemed to be more accurate than my cocker, so I guess my question is how could I make my cocker "better"? Like Nexus ram and two QEVs? But better I also ment more accurate, besides a new barrel kit which is what I am working with right now, just have to find some spare change. Any suggestions on what kind of front reg. I could use or anything to make my cocker more accurate?

acurracy is going to come from your paint to barrel match, however accuracy can mean consistancy so I would say get a sidewinder reg.

if you want accuracy, get a barrel kit that has different bore backs so you can match your paint directly to the bore or if you predominately use one kind of paint, buy a barrel that matches in size with that paint. Accuracy in paintball is all about the paint-to-barrel match.

Your ergo reg, the stock one, should be fine. But if you want ultra fine consistency, go for a sidewinder. The ram w/ QEV's with help it cycle faster and help you shoot a bit faster. But a new ram will not help it in the accuracy department.

i personally believe that cockers are one of the most accurate guns on the market. My bud has an Psycho Ballistics, and that thing shoots straight as an arrow. However, the X-valve still has a really good consistancy too. The lvlX aint that bad either.

My gun was chronoed at 280,290,284,279,291. My friend's was about the same but a little more consistant since he has the Detenator on his Omen. And I know the ram and qevs will make the gun cycle faster I was babbling didnt mean to mix two subjects together. And thanks for the help, the ones who accually helped.

I've found aiming to be the best way to improve accuracy...

that and practice.

but if the paint is crappy and doesn't fit the barrel, regardless of how consistant the marker is shooting the balls are gonna be all over the place.

Instead of the regulator upgrade, get the hammer and springs tuned up... it'll make a much bigger difference for a lot less $$$ than the regulator would run.

lol I think I've had the aiming thing down for a while now :) and I make plenty of money for a 16 yr old, that meaning $6 an hour without taxes (shh!) and a side job mowing so I make enough and I dont have anything to pay off. So, you guys are suggesting a barrel kit, a Sidewinder, and hammer and springs "tuned" up. Anything else why I am spending all my money? Maybe a couple 40s so I wont feel the person slapping me in the face for spending over $300 ? lol

I would get the sidewinder last. After you get new springs, maybe a new valve or hammer see how consistant it is. Sweetspot your gun and check the consistency and all. Once sweetspotted, you should have better consistency leading to better accuracy. Your ergo reg is extremely good. You may want to get a gauge installed so you can see how consistant or incocnsistant it really is. But the barrel kit is the main thing. Try to get one with the most available backs so you can get a better fit to the ball and so they dont roll out. Hope this helps.

The stock hammer/valve and the springs that come with all WGP guns are pretty good. There really is no need to replace it. Sweetspot your HPR if you haven't.

I'm not sure if the Nightkast comes with an adjustble LPR, but those are pretty useful.

That's was my next question, and yea the LPR is adjustable. I was think about updating my front reg because I have to adjust it every weekend, it keeps sinking back in and wont let my walk it cause of the cycling, so what kind of front reg would you guys recommend? And I really like the Pipe Evil has so I was considering it as the barrel kit. You guys let me know, I'm gonna go to bed now lol later.

The Eclipse kit is pretty good but you already bought a Superfly. You might be just wasting your money. You can still buy an Eclipse/Belsales ram and QEVs seperately. Also, if you buy the kit, you'll need a valve tool to remove your old valve and put in the Eclipse valve.

As for LPRs, Palmer's Micro/Full Rocks, Shocktech FGP, Orracle Tickler, ANS-Jackhammer, Belsales Supercharge (I think that's the name) are all pretty good (I might be missing a few). I think most LPRs are pretty good as long as they are adjustable. I'm not personally familiar with the LPR you have, but if it has a knob, you can just take the knob out and put teflon tape on it so it stays in place.

Yea was thinking about doing that and maybe Blue Loctite to keep it from sinking in because I'm thinking it has something to do with vibration. Thanks for the regs was thinking about the Jackhammer and about the delrin bolt, my friend just bought a Maroon Nightkast and he bought the gun off eBay and I noticed it didnt have the delrin bolt like mine didnt so I'd be selling the bolt to him so no biggie on that. I'm also looking to make my gun all black so I'll be asking him to switch out the trigger frame and 3-way since mine is nickol and his is black. But anyway I'd have to buy a valve tool which is like $12 right?
