Well here is the deal, my b-day is coming up next month and I convinced wifey to buy me a new frame for my mag. I am torn between the Y and the intelli Im wondering if y'all could give me some pros/cons on each frame. This will be going on a x-valved ule bodied mech mag. Maybe if Im a good boy I can convince her to pick up one of those logic rails as well. :) Post up people! LMK

Chipper
I think there is 1 major pro and con to each..
Intelli
Pro:
Looks good and you get no wierd looks.
Con:
Not as comfortable.
Y-frame
Pro:
Comfortable as crapola.
Con:
Wierd looks. -
since i have 12 1 inch spikes sticking out of my mask I already get weird looks, Ive heard the Y frame is very comfy. With the Y frame is it possible to use aftermarket grips say dye stickies?3.2 e mag ULE body and rail. Oh yeah I gots the X inside!!!Comment

Nope. Panel grips for the Y. Stickies just won't fit b/c of the angle.

no you cant use stickies although i think its worth it becaue the y-frame is better than the intelliframe for feel.Originally posted by desslocksince i have 12 1 inch spikes sticking out of my mask I already get weird looks, Ive heard the Y frame is very comfy. nice mask slade!! nah I didnt bite ur style Ive had my spikes for like a year. I have them on a jt flex, Dont you love all the questions you get? From looking at pics of the Y it didnt look like you could use aftermarket grips the reason I asked was casue I recently picked up the new dye stickies but if they dont fit I can always give em to my bro.3.2 e mag ULE body and rail. Do you use a dropforward, picking which frame can have an effect on that.

Well for the Y Grip, if you like to get tight behind a bunker, then that is a good frame, but I have an intelli frame and it hurts my wrist when i try to get real tight. I like the gun out in front of me and I use no drop, so I like the intelli. If you could, I would suggest you try to shoot each one. It's hard to explain how they feel.

thanks, i was just kidding when i said you stole my idea... its one of those semi-creative things, where not many people have done it but youre bound to find someone else who has. i just got bored and found an old spike necklace that my sister never wore, and got an idea.Originally posted by desslocknice mask slade!! nah I didnt bite ur style Ive had my spikes for like a year. With the Uni you're gonna want to run a regular Intelli, because the forward sweep of the Y grip is only ergonomically correct if you have a drop, whereas the normal intelli is correct for a mount or tail.SwallowBleach: It's good for you.

Entirely a matter of opinion and circumstance. Plenty of people find the intelli more comfortable and cannot get into my ygrip. I bought a mag only, and I mean only intending to have a ygrip. As a third option, there is the vert frames. Not as comfortableComment

i think the intelli does look better, however the Y-Grip does give a more comfortable feeling on my wrist. I would recommend the Y cuz it's just more comfortable. although don't get the nickel, it'll annoy the hell outta you w/ the prints of your fingers on it, all over the place.Comment
