    a little help???

    ok im maybe im just blind, but im trying to figure out how the ASA is secured into the rail drop. is it held in place by anything?
    sorry bout the newb question, but im tired of my drop forward and want something new. and any opinions of this kind of setup would be appreciated

    thats called a dovetail rail.

    The rail slides intot he slot on the ASA. then 2 set screws are used to lock it down so it wont slide.

      Actually the newer CP rails are designed different'y, they have the screws on the sides that go through the inside.

      What happens is when you tighten the screws you expand the dove-tail, tightening it to the ASA instead of having a set screw hold it in place, Imo a much more innovative and better design.

      I plan on buying a dye mini-drop with airport... just because... they look cool together
