just a geuss but I had a barrel that said it was a medium bore on it before so the M could stand for Medium bore size

Steel Wind is not a TASO barrel. It was made by Carter Machine (they went on work with DYE) and was one of the first retail stainless steel barrels. They sold for $120 from I&I.Comment
