What's the trick to sealing macroline elbows? I've tried blue loctite, loctite 545, and teflon tape. No matter what, I still get a pinhole leak from where the elbow is screwed in. The elbows just don't seem to seal up like the elbows for steel braided hose. Any suggestions would be appreciated. This is for a Viking, so I don't really want to use teflon tape.

toyotaboy12: Using teflon tape on an electropneumatic gun is generally regarded as a Bad Thing (tm).
I always use blue Loctite, and have never had a problem. I usually give the Loctite a couple of hours to set, though.
You have tried another elbow by this point, right?

They also make that liquid teflon paste, it works well. The key to using it, like the tape, is to make sure NONE gets in the gun itself. It'll screw up your internals, especially the noids.

10-12 wraps of teflon always does the trick.

It is very important to clean the threads very well before applying any Loctite sealant.
Some times you need a Loctite activator, it depends of the metals they are in contact, you have to seal.
Always, wait many hours to apply pressure. Temperature, affects the time. At low temperature more time.
For smaller threads (applications for PB) Loctite 542 is the best.

For every fitting I put on, I just use 1 complete wrap of teflon tape, going the opposite way of the threads (that way it doesnt come off when you screw it in) and everything always seals up perfect. When you put the tape on though, be careful that you keep it away from the front where the air comes through, that way no little pieces get in your macroline or valve and mess something up.

is it a swivel fitting? or stationary?
oif it's stationary, buy a swivel. you've have lots less problems.
make sure the macro line is not too long or too short. make sure that there's not a lot of stress where the line goes into the fitting (that's where I see most leaks from)
