hey guys im new to posting here but ive been reading for a long time just because it is the most active forum, o and agd rules. anyway i was thinking about investing in an evil omen instead of a new autocoekr. does anyone have a video shooting one or anything else like that? motion diagram maybe? thanks alot

you guys are great i feel welcomed here. first of thanks for the animation, it shows how the cam feed works. second, why do alot of people swear by omens and the other half hate them? i always liked them but some of my friends who know alot about electros tell me not to get it. the triggers wierd and i dont trust the cam feed are some things i hear. but ive seen vids and the omen seems to rip. so one of my questions is a vs. type of thing, you guys probably hate those but here it goes anyway. i know the price range is a little different but what better for the $$$> 03 vert. autococker vs. evil omen? thanks for your help guys.

I love my Omen... When they roll out the fixes for v.2, they will be even better... Compatible with Halos (and able to outshoot them)... Faster board... Flush cocking kit, etc... Definitely check out the evil forum on PBN..

I'd ask the same people who talk crap about the Omen and see if they've actually shot one for any period of time... They will probably say no.

Evil Omen v2.0 updates

Testing is completing on the 1.5 /2.0 version of the omen:
All changes can be retro fit.
CAM ARMS: Halo compatible with reduced breakage (recock isnt so touchy) arms are in the final phases of testing.
-so far, if your recock is up to high it loses velocity, but we have not broken paint.

A new end cap will be available. I expect street price of about 25

We have a flush cocking system. It will include a bolt, a rear/inner block combo, the springs and spring guide. I estimate street price to be about 50 for the kit.

The new boards will be available aftermarket. Coupled with the new arms and a halo the omen shoots right along side any electro pneumatic. It is out shooting halos. We will try to put up video soon.

Evil will never make a 15 or 10 degree asa -the monkeys find them offensive.

you guys are killing me. first i was set on an autococker, then and omen, then defiantly and autococker, now an omen. im confused. also, whats the site for pdp chip and what does it do???

its a chip that's installed by PD Paintball that bumps the BPS cap from 15 to 25, along with giving you adjustable bounce and BPS settings... It works great and is only $50 installed. Basically you mail them your grip and you get it back in about 2 weeks.

May be worth to wait, though, to see what board they are coming out for the Omen. I assume it's based on the Pimp board, their 'ghetto' board..... I think the only limitation on the Omen had to do with the Solinoid, which is why PDP only went to 25bps.. The new board will come with a new solinoid.

One half hates the omen because they didn't read the manual, or they shot an omen where the owner didn't read the manual, simple as that.

Yeah, I know how you feel about being torn between 2 markers. My brother picked up an omen down at PSP a couple weeks ago. We got it home, and after some jiggling with some allen wrenches, finally figured out how to get it to recock (duh, we totally missed step 4). Fired some paint through it, seemed pretty nice. I was really contemplating selling off the rt pro for an omen, but I still have the 'mag and am going to hold off on the omen until the upgraded version comes out.

As for the brother's omen, I'm not so fond of that one. We get out to the field and for some reason, the CAM arm wasn't swinging out far enough to feed another ball in. I'm not ready to blame the gun yet because my brother is lazy and doesn't take good enough care of his toys (just in my opinion, he really is a slob). When I picked it up to fix it, there was still paint in the breech from his previous playing around and just oil EVERYWHERE. When it wouldn't feed paint, we took it back to the table and I started cleaning out the oil out of the CAM area, put it back together, and still nadda. I ended up getting out the file from the swiss army knife and filed down the plastic area that the CAM arms sit on. I don't know if the plastic swelled or what, but after I did some filing, it worked properly. After that, he played all day without a problem.

So, in the end, I really like the omen and will probably have one in the future. I assume my brother's marker was just a fluke and due to bad maintenance. Either way, between 'cocker and an omen, you'll win. Oh yeah, and a perk of the omen? You can go around the house and just annoy EVERYONE by walking the trigger, clicking the solenoid like its going out of style.

the only thing that i have to say about the omen is that we have had some go through our shop that worked good and some that didnt. one worked great the other one was just horrible. first it wouldnt recock. we figured out the bolt was to tight for the body. ordered a new one and then the beaver tail was to tight and that resulted in bolt stick/ no recocking. got a whole other assembly and that one had both problems. finally we jst got credit form pmi because it was horrible. but i cant speak for the gun that has only happened once the others worked fine.

all of the cockers that have gone through our shop or have come up to the field worked alot more consistent and were much more reliable. i would take one over a omen anyday. in my opinion they are solid more air efficient and quiter. plus i hate the can-feed so i personally think that cocker is the way to go.
