    new to MAGs

    hi
i thinking of getting a ULE custom and
    have a couple of questions:
are mags known to be loud?
    gas hogs?
What kind of Air tank should i get? 68/4500? mostly what brand... around $200

    anything else i should know?

i almost positve this is what i'm going to buy....i don't know there's just something about mags that i like.

oh and what does the "mag" mean in automag??
    (i like the smilies here)

preety loud, and gas hogs for a tank, get an adjustable , can use a HP preset, but adjustable would make you happier a 668.45 will do you fine, and the "mag" in automag stands for the portion of the name thats not "auto"

If you don't get an adjustable, they're quite expensive, I'd suggest a preset Crossfire. I use it and it's worked well. Not sure how many shots I can get with a full 68/3k tank but I'd guess 600-700, somewhere there.

But like magOwner suggested, get a 68/4500 adjustable. Expensive but worth it.

I always thought they were pretty quiet... Then again I used to shoot a 98c most of the time.

lvl 10 makes just a tad bit louder than most markers out there with out it they are way loud but who cares even with the most quite of markers everyone knows where you are shooting from after the first or second shot!!! they arent as big gas hogs as everyone makes em out to be its just that they cant go deep into the tank so they lose a big portion of the possible shots that other markers dont!!! other than that light and ultra fast mechanical...if mags float your boat go for it but dont just consider one marker there are so many maybe another one might strike your fancy as well!!

i had a spyder before my classic and i think its quit, i guess you could consider it loud if compared to most mid to high end guns. i haven't notice it being to much of an air hog but again its gets just as many or more balls on my 48/3000 as my spyder did. you sould like you're gonna end up with a mag when i was looking i said the same thing "there is just something about them" good luck to you and whatever you end up with

Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.

when i play people ask what mine is, and i say its a mag, and they sometimes say that it is real quiet. when i let a fried or someone use it i notice how quiet it really is, but if i'm shooting it i can hardly tell.

Mine is real quiet too. It just depends on what barrel you are using and what kind of porting it has. I use a J&J ceramic and am very happy with it.

The level 10 is a bit of a gas hog. A 68/4500 should be fine unless you shoot 10 pods a game. Stay away from anything smaller.
