AO: We are back from the dead... again! After an 18 day outage, we are finally alive and well. Who knew how complicated updating software/databases from 2008 would be. I still have alot of tweaks to make, but my main goal was getting everything patched and updated to 2026.
Vbulletin 6 has changed alot since 2008 so we will have a ton of new features to dig into.
RES - You hit it about on the money. At every scenario game, you have a 50/50 chance of winning. Without the pressure to win that exists in the tournament scene, players tend to be more friendly and helpful with others, even if they're on the other team. In scenario games, the Most Valuable Team and Sportsmanship winners get equal billing. It's not uncommon for players to forget which side won a particular game a month after it happened. And there's still plenty of people in paintball that think that's the way it should be.
WELL SAID!! In scenario, the rewards go well beyond the win/loss result. One of my most treasured moments was Generaling a game and being awarded the Outstanding Sportsmanship award by the opposing team's General. That award sits proudly on my wall!
