I can see how your apparently confused. Inexperienced drinkers would look at that photo and say "that guy is done". What was really happening is he was using the curvature of the glass and the alcohols surface tension to allow the very last drop of alcohol to roll onto his tongue. Therefore NO WASTE.

Besides there are only 9 shot glasses and 1 pitcher in the photo and I personally have seen him do at least twice that and then get up and go to another bar for more.
