    Empire Timmys?

Its my understanding that there are two kinds of Empires out there. Theres one with 2k2 type internals like the cupseal/poppet and the ram and bolt and then theres the 2k4 style like in the alias. I currently have an alias and am looking into getting an Empire as my backup or maybe the alias will be the backup to the empire. I was just wondering if there is any way to tell if the Empire is 2k4 style without actually taking it apart and holding it. I'm hoping to trade my eblade in to my local store and have her order my an Empire, but I don't want to get stuck with the older style internals. What should she ask the people she gets it from to verify that its new style? BTW - She'll be ordering it from American Paintball Supply so if you know if they have new or old that'd be much appreciated.
    My feedback...

I believe that the empire has some 2k2 internals like the ram and bolt and smaller valve chamber. I am pretty sure that the only thing 2k4 style on the empire is the grip frame. I am not 100% sure on this, but I think I am pretty accurate. I am not sure what an empire has for a board whether it has a was or a frenzy. If you really want a backup with the alias 2k4 style internals, you should check out the Atomix Timmy or the Dark timmy. I like my alias, but I am thinking about picking up a Dark timmy as well.

empires are built on old style bodies. As such, they use old style bolts, eye covers, and ram internals. The 2k4 parts on them are just the frame. It comes with frenzy just like the alias.
