So this stays a discussion and not a flame fest, explain your opinion on why you feel the gun is ugly.

To me the old shoebox shockers were just bulky and their lines did not flow. On the old shockers, the grip frame looks just tacked on. I really dont care for guns where the body is too tall. Impulses fall into that catagory, but I have seen some milling on them that lessens its ugliness in my eyes, but I would still not own one.

Just my opinion.

My in-no-way definitive list of ugly guns:
Old Shockers - no explanation needed.
Alien - ditto
most Non-current timmies, (notably excluding 2k2s and GZs)- most just look tacky, especially the ones with big logos milled in the side (like Ironmen) and the FUGLY gripframes
IR3s with the space guard - just the space guard themself, the rest looks decent
ALL Matrixes - the old ones are bricks, not as bad as the old shockers, but still ugly. And DM4s look like space turds. Some custom ones look allright like the tequila and the NYX, the FF though is like a freaking billboard, just tacky as hell.
Impulses - the proportions just seem off to me. Stock they're really ugly, some customs look allright though.

I hate the way the Flatline barrel looks on the Tippmann 98. The stock 98C ain't exactly pretty (and I don't think it's supposed to be), but that Flatline just makes it look wrong somehow.

I'd have to say the ugliest guns would be the Assult 80, Mayhem and the Epic.
The Alien isn't that bad in my opinion, it could be improved with a shroud over the barrel so it doesn't look so different.

ugliest gun......bonedaddy guns, all of'em. they are hideous....for those that dont know (probably a lot) they are spyder clones, but just flat out hideous ones.....

ive seen a really f'ed up cocker before, looked worse than old matrixes, and even more bricklike than shoeboxes...

I have to agree with the people who like the Alien. Different is GOOD! Why do you think I first chose a Mag? They took a different approach that was very simple, yet effective. You put a barrel shroud on that Alien, and it would look similar to half the other guns out there... What's so cool about that? I'm definitely a follower of the "form follows function" mantra. I don't really give a **** how a gun looks, as long its function and design is superior. I personally think most Angels are ugly, but they work so I'd use one. Have you guys seen the JT Tetras? Ugly as all hell, and if they're anything like the old Excellerators, probably don't shoot for crap either. I'll give one more "ugly gun" vote to the New DeSignz Impulse (you can see one in the Action Village ad in APG). All I can say is YUK!!!
