Putting a Flaline Reg. on another bottle?

How easy/hard is it to take a flatline reg and put it on another bottle? A friend of mine did something to his 68/4.5k tank and needs a new bottle. Any help would be great.

yeh, your field should be able to do it. AGD should too if you need them to. Theres a slight chance it won't work, however. there are two thread sizes for bottle necks: 1/2" and 5/8".

most all now are 5/8", and im pretty sure AGD's is. take it to your field and let them have at it.

You need specialized tools to take that reg on and off. If the person you send it to is not a Tech for AGD please dont let them touch it or chances are they will ruin it.

I know that some here look unfavorably upon people who work on their airsystems themselves. Truth be told, if you know what you are doing, and have the right tools, say, a strap wrench, you can accomplish this task quite easily. I have taken many a reg off tanks, and have never, ever had a problem. I would say that if you have never done something similar, then let a tech do it.
