    looking for some gun info

I have been looking into getting a new gun lately (currently have a A-5); and, while I am giving mags their due consideration , I am also considering some others. I am looking for something in the $250 to $500 range, and I very flexible reguarding what it is. However, I would probably prefer something that doesn't reguire me to be a certified airsmith to fix and something that operated off of high pressure nitrogen might be little better so I don't have to get a new tank (this wouldn't be that big of a deal though). Being able to do well buying used would be a plus as well (something that the market is flooded with maybe). The two guns that I heard reccomended in the price range are low-end autocockers and bushmaster. Although, the autococker requires timing (just how hard is that anyway?), and the bushmaster uses low pressure (not that big of a deal, but that definitly makes it lose points for me. I thought I might be able to do well on a used autococker since there seems to be alot of those floating around. If anyone can give me any info on this I would appreciate it.

Timing is easy, provided you read how to do it first.

As for the Bushy being LP, no worries. It's got an inline reg that will drop the pressure to the correct level.

In that price range you have two choices and you mentioned both. Both are mechanical triggers. The autococker and the Automag. I have used both and love them both. The Mag is a little less maintenance than a cocker. I currently shoot a 2k3 cocker and love it. Timing is not that difficult, and its not like they just mystically go out of timing. (most of the time) Usally to mess up the timing you have to mess with it in the first place. I know there are a bunch of used Cockers out there that are already upgraded. You can find some pretty good deals on them. If you went mag I would say get a Custom RT ULE. Nothing like a brand new marker. If I had too choose it would be very hard for me. Right now Im magless so I would lean towards the Mag. But you really can't go wrong with either one. Thought of one other option too. Palmer Blazer. Very nice guns and you could set one up right around $500 - $600 or a little less or a little more depending on what you put on it.

Sorry this probably didn't help your decision much.

        I am considering getting this:

except maybe in pewter . . . opinions?
Anyone know anything about the trigger pull? I would like something with a reasonable short/light pull, that's why I am looking at the bushys (electronic). I don't need some kind of hair-length pull, just something I can get some reasonable speed on. I am looking at this instead of a ULE mag, because it would cost another $200 to get a gun with the two finger trigger and reasonable looking body like this cocker.

If you get that^ you'll need some upgrading and tweaking, as for the pull on the custom ule, you can get the trigger pull kit and soon the hair trigger so you might want to reconsider. But if you really want the 04 then go for it.

I just bought a CnC IR3 with all the important upgrades, as well as a full pipe kit for $525. I recommend Tribals, IR3+ Angels, 'mags, Shocktech SFL 'cockers, and Vertebrate 'cockers. Those were my favorite out of some 30+ markers I've been through.
