You need a 2-Stage(I think thats what they're called) compressr to get pressures tht high. They're pretty damn expensive.

I would suggest checking e-bay. You can find them for anywhere from $800 to $5000. I have no idea if they will work, or what to what psi they can fill, but its a good place to start.

Uhm. A good Setup that you could actually use and NOT DIE will cost you around $8k thats for decent Bauer compressors, two bulk fill tanks, the regs, the hosing and the fills stations so youre not risking your lives. Keep in mind this is a compressor you must drain the condensate out of.

To fill a paintball tank straight off the compressor would suck, it would be a very hot fill and would require you stoppping to cool it down several times. This stuff is very serious and unless you've got solid finiancial backing to do this I suggest going the cheap, inefficient, but safer way of buying 5 scubas (possibly more) and filling tanks in series from them.

Each scuba is 5 bucks to fill so five tanks is 25 bucks and you and a few friends can get a couyple decent fills. If youre planning on doing 5vs 5 youll get a c ouple good games.Maybe.

Don't buy cheap crap and risk your lives with something so dangerous.

A good compressor isnt gona be cheap. Paintball Discounters can give you a price. I supply air at our club. I get my nitro tanks from local welding shops. One place I get tanks that come with close to 6000psi ($66) and the other place only fills to 4500psi ($25). You set up an account and get 3-4 at a time and your still gonna make a profit. Save up for compressor if thats the way you want to go. Then your gonna need a few fill stations. Action Village has a good one for $350. Call your local welding shop to see what fitting style your gonna need. CGA-677, CGA-680 etc. Once a tank gets below 3000psi you use it to start a fill and then jump to another tank at 3000 plus to finish the fill.

Check with the welding, diving, and general industry sources first. Much of the apintball stuff is overpriced and available from non-paintball disributers for cheaper.

How about starting with a set-up like this:

For a few more bucks you could use a fill panel to make it more straight-forward to use.

yeah, i think we'll just get scuba tanks and connect them like slartybartfast said, it seems like the best way to do it and then maybe later on we'll get a compressor.

Price the different cylinder combinations. Might be better with the 6000 PSI/509 CF (AC 40060) cylinders.

You really have to do an analysis of what your expected turn-over is and how often you want to get tanks filled.

You don't want to get too small a system and not be able to serve customers, but you don't want to waste too much money on an over-sized system either.

                      Added:

The american airworks site also has a booster setup that works off a cascade system.

In any case, I'd definately get a cascade system if I was you. Even if you get a compressor, you need storage tanks and once the tanks are filled they need time to cool before giving effective fills. Sufficient storage and a cascade system will also let you serve more people from a smaller compressor as the compressor only needs to meet average demand and not peak demand.

I'd add the standard discalimer of "Ask an expert, not a random sampling of dweebs on the net."

Talk to experienced high pressure air specialists. They'll be able to help you determine the best size and the required equipment and your best setup.

See and if you got a DM4 over some silly cocker people would give you a compressor and women would flock to you. Now you're just going to get 70 year old men jumping out of bushes in camo humping your leg.

Sorry, last sober thought before a weekend in Vegas. See ya'll after I get back and detox for a few days.
