Hey guys, well I bought a Crossfire 45/45 tank, replaced the fill nipple oring, and it still leaks out very very slowly--maybe over the course of 3 days the tank will empty. My teammate says his does it too and it's designed that way, but I have a 68/4500 crossfire that doesn't do this. What gives??

Yeah, it shouldnt leak. I dont think any company in the riht of mind would make there tanks leak, it doesnt really serve a purpose. I mean its not like air can go bad lol. Id bring it to a local shop and if that doesnt help call the company.Comment

My crossfire tank leaked at the fill nipple and i replaced it several times with fill nipples from my local shop. These didnt help at all so i sent an email to the crossfire customer service and they sent me a fill nipple free of charge that worked perfectly. Since then i have been leak free. BTW i have a 68/3000 stubby and their customer service was great.
Hope this helps.Comment

Yeah you can try and get a new fill nipple or you can try sticking an allen wrench inside the fill nipple and tapping.. I know it sounds insane but IIRC it helps reseat the oring or something like that...Comment

The fill nipple o-ring in the Crossfire tanks is 006. I know b/c I had a leaker. Crossfire wanted .50/a o-ring. I found a local company that had them and got something like 50 for 50 cents.Comment

My 2003 88 stubby Crossfire does not leak at all; however, my '94 47ci is acting up with the pin valve sticking and the very slow leaking. It probably just needs to be cleaned and rebuilt. I'll just take it to Crossfire when I go to college in a month."AGD (Always Gun'em Down)"

I found out my 68/4500 CF leaks from at least the fill nipple area, is there something I can do to safely fix this myself or should I just take it to the local airsmith?

When someone tells you that the tanks are made to leak over time, he is filling you with the stuff that you find in a barn lot.
I had a CF 68 3000 that leaked a bit around the fill nipple. I stuck it in the kitchen sink filled with water, and there were bubbles coming around the nipple. CF sent me a new fill nipple. End of leak.
